Kit Harington said his unsexiest moment on set was his sex scene, as he had a broken ankle and had to come in on crutches, completely nude while a hundred people watched and tried not to laugh
one time I was really high and took a hot bath and I closed my eyes and imagined myself as a noodle floating in hot soup
Come December, we’ll all be united.
one fandom to rule them all
one fandom to find them
one fandom to bring them all
and in ship wars guide them
Wow. I, uh, I just choked up.
why do you hurt me so
oh my fucking god why am i tearing up this is ridiculous
This is super cute! So, to all of you who are sobbing, let me tell you the truth of the matter. Wooly Bear caterpillars are born in autumn/early winter, and live as far north as the arctic. They freeze over the winter months, completely solid. Then, come spring time, they thaw out, and turn into an Isabella Tiger moth. So this little guy/girl is going to have a very happy memory to dream about over the winter. And you can all stop crying now. :)
omg thank you

Lindir you had one job
Okay. Right. Here goes.
I’ve had two little ficlets spinning around in my head for weeks now and they flatly refuse to leave me alone soooo, I think it’s high time I got back to writing. Fanfiction first; dipping my toe in the pool before diving in to original writing.
The only problem is, I…
Maybe you and sordidpen should follow each other for some solidarity!
I’m currently writing a thing too so feel free to wail at me.
I just this minute saw that I got a new follower, woohoo! Hello there, new friend!
Thank you, I’m going to need all the help I can get; my writing pistons are all rusted up!
Thanks for the follow back! It’s a pleasure :)
I don’t know how much help I can be to you but I’m sure it couldn’t hurt to have more people to bounce ideas and frustrations off; my pistons are so much ‘rusted’ as ‘never been installed’ hah but I’ll do whatever I can to help you!
Yay! Thanks so much, I really appreciate it, and you’re more than welcome to hurl your frustrations at me if it helps!
What sort of thing do you usually write, by the way?
Well I use to be exclusively non-fiction poetry but I’ve found that in the last year or so I’ve gravitated to prose.
It was fairly recent that I decided to undertake a real large project; as for genre I’m 92% sure that it’ll be a low-fantasy / alternate reality. Historical fiction has always been something that impassioned me.
Clearly I’m all over the place right now.
If I may ask, what do you usually write?
Oh, don’t start me on historical fiction! I’ve been itching to write something with a historical slant for years but I know I wouldn’t be happy with it unless I poured tonnes of research into it and that’s always intimidated me.
I have a couple of original(ish) ideas that I’m switching between and both are fantasy; a genre I’ve loved ever since I was a little ‘un. I’m collecting notes on those at the moment but I’m hoping to flex my muscles with some light and fluffy fan fiction. Nothing too taxing!
The worry that I’ll fudge some important detail constantly worms at me but the idea of pouring so much time and dedication into the research is really enticing to me.
I have always loved fantasy: the limitless possibilities and ever shifting little touches of personality created by each individual author. When it comes to creating those worlds myself however, it is the originality and creative process that scares me to no end. I just get so overwhelmed with the idea of fabricating an entire world and all the characters therein.
P.S. Sorry about the incredibly delayed response.
No worries - I’m known for sometimes taking weeks to respond!
I know what you mean with that one niggling little detail. I get so fixated on getting everything painstakingly accurate and sometimes I let that take over and eventually I fall out of love with the story.
That’s part of the reason I’m forcing myself to stick with these two ideas, even if my interest in them wanes, I’m going to persevere!
I used to spend hours and hours creating fantasy worlds when I was younger. I made whole maps and named all the cities and rivers and came up with different races of people to populate them. Tolkien was my number one inspiration so an awful lot of my worlds were just Middle Earth clones (but don’t tell 12 year old me that!)
Part of my research for my current plot bunnies involves brushing up on my warfare/weaponry knowledge and that I am super excited about! I adore medieval weaponry and armour and now I get to nerd out to the extreme!
It’s been two years. He’s got on with his life.
